Programs and Events
 AAPA members benefit from a wide variety of seminars, conferences and programs designed to enhance port professionalism, recognize excellence in programs and individuals, and help to set policy for the industry.
Annual programs include the fall Convention, Spring Conference, Marine Terminal Management Conference, Executive Management Conference, Port Commissioners Seminar and Port Directors Seminar. There are usually up to 10 additional seminars or workshops held each year on a variety of port-related topics.
Port professionals can become certified as Professional Port Managers through AAPA’s PPM program. Outstanding port programs are also recognized annually through AAPA’s prestigious Communications Competition and Environmental Awards.
